Round 7 – Week 6 - Make Time For Yourself! [LOCKED]

Well done, you're almost there!

You only have one lifestyle change left to complete, and it’s probably the most important one.
Stressed people sleep less. You can prevent that, take time from your busy schedule and dedicate 30 minutes to yourself each day. Try stretching before going to bed, read a book or take a bath.

Tell us below how you spent your last week winding down. What activities put you in a good frame of mind and help you to chill out before bed?

mmm I ike the sound of this one, although I am pretty good at doing that ... forgetting the dishes and settling down with a book or some colouring or a video/film. The large earthquake in New Zealand upset me tremendously last week .. a full night of NO sleep takes a week to catch up on. This is a great resource:

I need to be reminded of this as last week was very stressful and I need to at least take 10 min of breathing exercises, walk, and meditate about God. This works for me maybe not everyone else, but I do forget and go like a bull at a gate. Ending in a poor nights sleep and rotten next day. So thankyou and full steam ahead- slowly!!

I will add some light stretching to my bed time routine, to help me relax.

Going to bed at a reasonable time instead of midnight. No shower as it wakes me up. No snacking either especially with pre-Christmas get-to-gethers happening now. Although a dietary suggestions is if you are hungry that eating a piece of chicken will satisfy and wont pile on the calories either.

Yesterday I went for a swim after work, then came home had a shower and cooked tea. Then I took myself off to bed and read for a few hours before going to sleep. I can honestly say it was one of the best nights sleep Ive had in ages!

Just love to chill out playing around making something in my workshop at home. Always plenty of things to do around the house , BUT they can wait. My time is important.

I have enjoyed having a night shower and going to bed early this week to read, knit or watch a small serial :) has been nice to have some me time. Thanks for the ideas.
