As the weather has got warmer the worsening of restless legs with over heating has begun, start off cold but then wake up too hot. time for spring/summer time PJs.

Restless legs can really affect how we sleep and can be extremely disruptive to our sleep- and especially so for a shift worker. It might be a good idea to speak with your doctor about this as there is medication available that will treat the restless legs, and when treated will give you back consolidated sleep. If possible, air conditioning would help, but definitely try a fan in the short term. Sweet dreams Dr Carmel

Adjustable bed and medium density mattress.. I was also advised to download the sleep cycle application.
I have without a doubt having a better night sleep averaging from 78%-100%.. This bed adjusted to zero gravity with 30 minute massage before nodding off, then upon waking up adjusting the bed back to straight level and then 10 minute low massage before waking up is the key to a fresh and fabulous day.

Sounds like the bed worked a treat! How marvellous is all this new technology in allowing us not only yo have the best sleep possible but giving us insight into how we sleep! Congrats on the wise decision to invest in your sleep. Dr Carmel

1. How have you transformed your bedroom into a sleep sanctuary?
2. What did you find most enjoyable about creating your sleep sanctuary?
3. What’s the greatest improvement you’ve seen in your sleep after this week?

Everything with red standby lights has been evicted! I really hadn't noticed how much they were bothering me so that was pretty enjoyable.
I had 2 mornings where I actually woke up feeling refreshed!! Couldn't pinpoint why and I was tired the next few but I'm counting that as progress

Managed this week to an extent. Cool, dark, quiet/white noise. No more partner snoring! But then the baby monitor goes off and ruins it all

Bedroom, no problem, as we have blockout curtains, nice and quiet, except for the odd frog or two with the rain we have had. Exercise, doing well now the weather has improved, no gadgets. Sleeping BADLY!!! I don't see any improvement at all.

The bedroom is pretty much a sanctuary now. It's at the back of the house with blockout blinds, a fan and ac for those really hot days of summer. The best part is the really comfortable bed. Heaps better than the worn out bed I used to have.

I wish I could say I had a good nights sleep this week but I cannot. I started the week really well but just after midnight on Tuesday morning I heard a bad sound outside. It was the sound of my pet chickens being attacked. I went outside to find one dead and another injured and the other two dazed with confusion. A fox had dug its way under the fence. I have found it hard to sleep most nights as every little sound stirs me.
Today I did my best to safeguard the backyard so I hope that I can go back to having a restful sleep.

Living in the CBD light is the biggest problem for me - using an eye mask has really made me realise what the difference between an okay and a good sleep is. I'm looking into the best blockout curtains I can afford!
