Some progress, and I certainly noticed the difference blocking out the blue/green lights on my phones, notebook, modem and clock which all reside in my bedroom. A long way to go to re-educate myself in turning off all my gadgets and TV before I go to bed. A challenge, that’s for sure!

I meant to say turning off all the gadgets 1+ hour before going to bed.

Amazing, not having a phone beside the bed and turning off the TV 1/2 before bed, reading instead

Turned phone off. Bought an alarm clock, listened to radio and also set my alarm .
Sleeping better after a couple of days.

I hate watching TV before bed, but hubby loves it so we do have a TV in the bedroom. I'm not likely to be moving this out but I will limit him watching while I'm going to bed. I also missed the email this week so failed to start the challenge. We shall see how we go with week 1 and week 2 in one go :D

I think I may be a hard nut to crack! I've been an insomniac for many years, but now I'm at my worst ever, sleep wise. I have been doing this for a few weeks now, I shut down all technology and dim the lights for a couple of hours before bed. I usually fall asleep within an hour but I need to be very tired before I try.

Yup, bad habits. Facebook and texts before sleep. Just need to 3stablish better routine habits, that will take a few weeks.

Have been following the rule of no screens an hour before I go to bed. I take a book to bed and usually fall asleep pretty quickly but am waking just after midnight and then again around 245 am. Yes I know exact time because I look at my fit bit!! Maybe I should not look at the time. When I wake after midnight I can usually fall asleep pretty quickly. But when I wake at 245am I start ruminating and calculating the hours I have before I actually have to wake up - only on days I have to work. But other times I am ruminating, and have now started turning on the light and reading and looking at my watch!!!
Being menopausal doesn't help!!

Sorry but like many people the phone is my alarm clock!!
So I was a rebel!

I slept better only because I was taking Cold&Flu tablets while coping with a cold!
Nearly back to normal and looking forward to trying next weeks challenge!!

I was delighted to know I could put my iPhone on airplane mode and be able to use my alarm, before I kept the phone on and it was always a temptation to check Facebook when I couldn’t sleep.
