What changes have you made to your diet that have improved your sleep? We’d love to hear them.

I have been trying to cut back on sugary foods and caffeine in the hours leading up to bed. also cutting down on portion sizes at dinner time. it is challenging some nights when i am late from work or when my husband cooks dinner. Perhaps i will need to save food from night before to eat on nights when i am running late.

Hi all
I have tried to change the way . I prepare my meals . How by planning my weeks menu before i go shopping so i have the ingredients, to cook healthy . And not be tempted to grab TAKE AWAY on my way home . I have cut out sweets and buy fruit . :And have mineral water or soda water on hand , instead of cool drink because it still feel like I'm having a sparkling treat with out the sugar . Sometimes i make double meals to freeze to save time . And stop temptations on the days i feel lazy .

Hi all, I am really enjoying the sleep challenge so far, I will do whatever it takes to try and get a good nights sleep without waking up with back pain!! Wouldn't it be wonderful to wake up in the morning feeling refreshed!! So I've tried really hard with this weeks challenge to not eat heavy meals to close to bed time and haven't been eating anything in the 2 hours before bed. It does help! My biggest challenge is not drinking coffee in the evenings but I'm working on that! I've been finding if I go for a walk in the evening that has been helping my sleep also. Looking forward to the next challenges!! Thank you

This week I eased up gradually on how much coffee I consume, to nothing at all today. I found that going for walks on breaks was a great way to stimulate myself again and help me get focused. It helps that the sun has been out, shining away. This has helped me get to sleep and most importantly, stay asleep at night.

I also started drinking mineral water, a way of tricking myself into getting that carbonated sensation without having a soft drink. Yay for no sugar and caffeine. My next hurdle will be dodging that cup of espresso at family lunch on Saturday. Baby chino, perhaps?
