What changes have you made to your sleep sanctuary that have improved your sleep?

I have began to close the curtains at night and make sure no light is entering into my bedroom. Also making sure that I can hear no noise during the night.

I used to alway check my phone for Facebook updates etc when I got into bed, but have stopped that little habit and now turn my phone off.

I have created a darker, cooler environment and now that summer is approaching, I find that the constant gentle hum of the air conditioner helps me to sleep. I unfortunately wake up at least once during the night due to a health issue, but I have found that the new sleeping environment helps me get back to sleep much quicker and my rest is deeper.

1 year ago I decided there was to be no standby light on the Tv, or an electrical alarm clock because the light annoys me.
